As the Latin Recording Academy prepares for the upcoming 18th Latin GRAMMY Awards, another celebration has already kicked off: Hispanic Heritage Month.
Taking place Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 each year, Hispanic Heritage Month launched as a week-long celebration in 1968, before expanding to a month-long recognition in 1988. This time of year provides an opportunity to reflect upon the rich contributions Hispanic arts and culture have made to the United States.
